Would like a comparison with Google Onhub. I have two but am less than impressed with the coverage.

Kochroaches lol

I'm actually interested in the single smart Wi-Fi. I want to purchase at a store with the longest price protection period. Fifteen days with BestBuy is not enough. Maybe using Discover Card?

$110 for the single unit using this link

Google charging me tax purchasing at frys? I'm in MA

The Samsung Connect is still very new. Reviews so far are mixed. 28% of purchasers of the Connect Home Pro at Best Buy say they would not recommend it.

Some users complain that the Connect app is a dumbed down version of the SmartThings app and it is missing features. Some reviewers also say that the router itself is primitive, and report connectivity issues. One even mentioned that you cannot change its IP address range from 192.168.1.x.

Perhaps these things will get fixed with firmware and software updates, but recognize that this is a new device and may have issues until kinks are worked out.

If you want a reliable distributed Wi-Fi system, Netgear's Orbi continues to get stellar reviews [amazon.com] both from purchasers [bestbuy.com] and tech publications. SmallNetBuilder which has put all of the major wireless mesh/distributed systems through comprehensive testing, in an update today [smallnetbuilder.com], keeps the Netgear Orbi as its pick.

To use the SmartThings features on the Connect Home, you have to use the Connect app, not the SmartThings app. Some users complain that the Connect app is a dumbed down version of the SmartThings app and it is missing features.

I purchased this to replace a previous home automation system and can verify that you do not have to use the connect app for your smart home devices although it does offer some of this functioality. You can download the Smartthings app and use it just like the Smartthings hub.

That's good news. Are you an Android user or iPhone user? The complaints I saw about the Connect app were from Android users.

I preordered this router and picked it the day it came out. I returned it about a week later.

Had lots of connectivity issues. Especially with my smart TV. Called Samsung and they said "yeah, I'm not seeing the tv listed on your network." That was a big wtf moment. Had no idea they could monitor my connected devices.
