It's a Verizon variant so the bootloader is locked from any modding.

It's unfortunate that it's a Snapdragon 810. That poor chipset has been plagued with heating and throttling issues. I heard v2 of the chipset is better than I don't know which one this has. Snapdragon 810 was a bad year for Qualcomm...

Any thoughts on this vs. the 32GB Moto G5 Plus for $180?

Or vs. the Amazon Prime version 32GB Moto E4 Plus for $160 that is being released tomorrow?

Specifically, to use with T-Mobile service, if that matters.

And, as always, much it thanks to the OP, for posting this deal on here for others to see!

This is good. I'd get it if I didn't already have the original Turbo, which is still holding up well. This is a no brainier for anything on a UDP that wants a good, but inexpensive phone!

This is a good phone and good value.

The g4 and g5 area also very good. But, I would want the 64gb version because of the extra ram (2 vs 4gb, at least in the g4).

The e is a good value for cheap.

All three good options.

Thanks for the prompt reply and the feedback! I'm actually looking to get my daughter a new phone, because she shattered the screen on her Moto G4 Play last week and I'm trying to get her a replacement/upgrade that's reasonably affordable. I was planning on just getting her a standard Moto E4, which the 16GB Amazon Prime version of is available for $100, but the Moto E4 Plus gets released tomorrow and the 16GB version of that is available for $140 and the 32GB version for $160 (these prices are for the Amazon Prime with Ads and Offers versions) and from what I understand, the Moto E4 Plus has a 5,000 mAh battery and a supposedly, literally, the longest lasting battery available on a smartphone in the U.S. today. So, I'm really tempted to go ahead and spend a little more and buy the Amazon version 32GB Moto E4 Plus for $160 and spend the extra $4 to have it delivered tomorrow. That's why I was anxious to get a response in here. So, thanks again for replying so promptly!

Yes 5000mah, and with mid-range specs the phone should already be pretty efficient , especially with only a 720p screen, I want that phone for the battery life.

Yes, that E4 is a good choice. The extra long battery life for a child's phone should provide you extra relief and solace, too.

The Amazon Ad version is not-intrusive. Just the lock screen. No biggie.

Its got a verizon logo right on it...
The XT1585 is the CDMA variant
ALL the gsm variants are called moto X force, not droids.

its may work on a gsm carrier, since you cant lock a lte radio. However its impossible to bootloader unlock a XT1585, unlike the "world" XT1580

This phone is a wide phone, doesn't fit small hands.
