best buy has galaxy s7 edge for $7.99 for 24 month installment. if you able to pay off it would be $192. And then if you could unlock ,probably usable to all carrier.

I use Sprint so I have not. I did get them to unlock an iPhone 6s. It was a spare phone after upgrade. If the phone is being used on your plan they seem to give you the run around but if it is a spare they are way more helpful...that is my experience with unlocking through Sprint.

It should get unlocked after paying *3. However they bands on this may not be sufficient to use effectively elsewhere.
