So, what do you do with these boat anchors after you stopped using them in lieu of a SSD? Seems a waste to destroy them.

Nobody in their right mind uses large mechanical 3.5" HDD (aka "internal desktop drives") as system drives. But are you saying you use multiple 1TB+ SSDs for routine "data storage"?woot
