FREE voucher for $10 off first $15 order at Grubhub, live now at Gilt

Gilt did this before, and the offer is back. $10 off $15 order (before tax, tip, and delivery). That's better than the $7 offer I just got from them via email.

It doesn't appear that there are any limitations in terms of what city you're in--so long as Grubhub is there. Here's [grubhub.com] a comprehensive list of cities.

I think you have to register at Gilt; then enter your email to request the voucher. I did so and just got an email saying I'd get it via email w/in 24 hours (in the form of a code that can be used on the app, etc.).

The specs (quoted in full from site):
  • Redeem by Thu 09/07/17
  • Limit one voucher per member
  • Valid on first Grubhub order only; subject to Grubhub's verification
  • Valid for one-time use only
  • Minimum order of $15 required before tax, tip and delivery fee
  • Redeem by 3 AM ET on September 7, 2017
  • Valid on personal (non-corporate) accounts only
  • To redeem, please enter your code at checkout on Grubhub.com or the Grubhub iPhone, iPad or Android apps using an accepted payment method (cannot be combined with cash)
  • Offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions
  • Grubhub reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the offer, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Grubhub's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the offer, as determined by Grubhub in its sole discretion

I'm not sure--never used them (that's why I get their emails lol). But I'm pretty sure it's just like Uber's service or Amazon's: they deliver food from restaurants, and that's all.

I think I did read that they're more expensive than other services, but I'm not sure. I think they also have more offerings, generally, though.

If you're not going to spend a lot of money, it's probably a good deal. Check out the site to see the specs. GL

They don't deliver food. It's just an app/website for you to order online from local restaurants that already deliver.

Absolutely hate Grubhub. We did a promo with them, read the fine print, did everything by the books and they never sent us the promo coupon.

We contacted Grubhub support. They told us to wait a week. Nothing. Contacted again this time, angrily that we were basically scammed, they finally got back to us telling us to place another order first before giving us the coupon code.

HOW ABOUT NO.

No Grubhub has their own drivers. When you order from places a Grubhub driver delivers.

This is not true, at least not in NYC

I'm in Philly and pretty positive that's the way it is everywhere. It doesn't matter if the restaurant has their own delivery drivers....when you order for delivery from the Grubhub app the driver that delivers to your door is from Grubhub.

You can even check their website....there is an option to Deliver for Grubhub.

**its true for NYC.
