What's wrong with aluminum? Unless you're dropping some major dough on a carbon fiber tripod, you're going to get one that is aluminum... or plastic laugh out loud
This is not a bad deal, but it's not great. I bought this for $13.96 just a few days ago. It is very flimsy, even for an aluminum tripod. I'm sure it works fine for many cameras, I'm a little concerned about the stability with a DSLR with a telephoto lens.
Throwaway tripod but nice to have just in case. Sometimes I like to travel as light.

Drill a hole at the bottom of the center tube so you can hang a bottle of water from it, helps a lot with stability.

This tripod is aluminum. It is very flimsy. I would not recommend getting it. Spend a little more and get a sturdier tripod.

I have the same tripod from last deal, not happy with the quality of the build. I am returning and getting the craftsman tripod from sears (see today's post). It seems sears tripod is more sturdy 🤔 and 60"

Is this a real sale price, or a fake sale price? I've seen amazon do this before, so I wanna justify buying now vs. later.

Make it say $12.96 instead of -$12.96.

I paid about the same price 6 months ago... bought it for use with my Craftsman laser level and it gets the job done.

By lightweight they mean 1.2 lbs, which is good. However it does not state a maximum load weight, which would give an indication of flimsiness.

Finally something I bought. It is OK quality. Not so steady and very loose. Not recommended
