Monoprice has a crazy good deal on an Open Box Maker Select Plus printer. $279.99. Retails for $399.99. Shipping is free.

Monoprice says the printer may not include all accessories, but at this price who cares?

Also the warranty is reduced to 90 days. Still... great price. I've been watching this at $300 and have been very tempted. I think I'll pull the trigger and hope it comes in good condition.

If anyone bought this can they chime in on the condition and accessories it came with?

So the nozzle had some burnt plastic residue on the outside and the insulation of the hot end was a little beat up. Both are easy and cheap to replace. Everything else appeared to be in like new condition.

Seemed like a brand new box of accessories, although the models loaded onto the SD card didn't match what was in the manual (possibly pulled from another model?). Also I don't remember seeing the scraper.

Anyway I don't regret saving a $120 for a minute to get the open box version. YMMV, but I think they really do make an earnest effort to repackage everything nicely and to be like new.

I waited too long for the recently-reactivated $254+$9 shipping deal on the Maker Select v2. I'm pretty excited - my first 3D printer!

Lots of comments want issues with the Maker Select Plus on the recent thread for the CR-10, about then arriving with bent rods, issues with bearings, etc.

I'd love a guide on "what to look for" with these. I have a pretty good mechanical sense for that sort of thing, but having never owned, used, or even *seen* a 3D printer in person, I'd kinda like a checklist.
