Not a fan of SodaStream (Originally Soda Club) but it's a hot deal

This is an amazing deal. I just upgraded from the original jet soda stream to the source and love it. It's much quieter and looks a lot better

Anyone know if you can attach a CO2 tank with adapter with this model instead of those expensive little co2 cartridges they sell?

What's wrong with it? There's really nothing to worry about with Costco return policy, but why don't you like the product? Been looking for one to save money on sparkling water, would appreciate a firsthand review.

I love making my own soda but my big beef with sodastream is that you have to use their proprietary CO2 tanks and refill/exchanges aren't cheap, from what I hear. Though you can get adapters on Amazon

I bought a few Primo flavorstations before they stopped making them bc they can with generic 20 oz CO2 tanks that can be filled up at a paintball shop or sporting goods store for only a couple dollars! I used to have a different brand (Mr. Butler) for the same reason. Refilling CO2 is much cheaper when you don't have to exchange Sodastream tanks

fair assessment. I plan on buying the adapter and using the co2 tank running on my kegerator. Might even buy a new regulator to split it 3 ways don I don't have to change the hose constantly.

Here's my review after a year of owning an using one--it's awesome and well worth the price. I just use mine to carbonate tap water and never use any of the flavors. If i'm feeling fancy sometimes I put a few drops of flavor oils the glass or even some lemon or lime juice, but really just plain water tastes great carbonated from one of these devices. You get a noticeably fizzier and stronger carbonation from these vs. what you buy in cans from the store.

As far as cost goes for me I only need to replace my CO2 cartridge once every month or two depending on how much I use it that month. It's $14 to get a new cartridge (and return the old one) so over the course of a month or two you're looking at maybe 25 to 50 cents a day in costs. That's not bad at all and way cheaper and more convenient than buying cans of stuff (not to mention much less waste--after I stopped buying cans my garbage bags are less full).

Great review. Full of incite and helpful to the community!

I bet you're the same kind of idiot that goes into all the Apple threads just to remind people how overpriced they are.

Yes but you need some adapters.

More than it deserves frankly. Not only is this product incredibly unhealthy, but what kind of person consumes soda in quantities large enough to merit a home operation. This company is also known for its operation in a occupied territory. So yeah, who uses this junk?
You don't have to use the sugar loaded flavor syrups. Just carbonate tap water--that's what I do. Freshly carbonated water tastes great and kills all my soda cravings.

If you don't use syrup it's just seltzer water, so there is nothing inherently unhealthy.
