RSS Feed Images low res (see screenshots)

Just curious, I use Inoreader to view numerous RSS threads, in this case Slickdeals FP and also 9to5toys FP. I noticed, though, that the images in my Slickdeals feed are pixelated and low-res, but 9to5toys looks great.

Any idea why?

Using these URLS (with spaces, to avoid the URL filter)

https : // slickdeals.net / newsearch.php?mode=frontpage&searcharea=deals&searchin=first&rss=1

http : // 9to5toys . com / feed /

SD uses thumbs which is around 200x200. Your phone blows it up to match the full width making it look pixelated.

Ok. Let me clarify, I guess. Any idea why *SD chooses to use such low quality images, when other sites enhance my mobile experience by using high res images*?

They used to use HQ images when they had an actual RSS xml. But it took forever to load. The current RSS is generated from search results which uses thumbs by default. Maybe intentional to save bandwidth, but it loads alot faster then with HQ images.
