I hope so. I just picked one up for the wife because Football season starts soon and I'd love to enjoy the games...

May want to check out Kmart for the 7th generation. I picked up one two weeks ago for $71. Someone mentioned they got it for $49 as well.

The listing says, "Device does not come with any warranty." What if it's broken when I get it?
Amazon has a 30 day return policy for new Kindles, but this one isn't new...

Got the 7th Gen one during the Prime day for $90.

Is it worth getting this 6th Gen for $50 and return the 7th Gen?

Other than the 212 Ppi vs 300 Ppi, is there anything which I will be missing in the 6th Gen?

I assume it's still valid for returns, just that the manufacturer's warranty doesn't apply

Not that good of a deal when you can get the 7th gen refurb for $85. That comes with a 1 year warranty too. No 3G but I find that utterly useless. Though, I just checked and they raised the price to $100 since I bought mine in June. Price seems to fluctuate. Something to think about, though.

Don't forget about 3G. That really is a valuable feature.

Overall, you would have to be very price sensitive ($50 to be precise) to justify dropping back to half as many pixels per inch.

If you're still on an older gen kindle stuck at 167 ppi this is a great steal. If you're already using a modern 300 ppi kindle I think it's a tougher call unless you just want a spare.

Good luck!

Jon
