As a longtime user of varous flea control products, the main effective ingredients found in PetArmor are virtually the same as those found in Frontline Plus, only considerably less expensive now that the formulation has become generic.

I also split dosages (buy the larger size and split among more than one dog) which, if done very carefully, gives the correct dosage if split accurately. This is done ONLY when the ingredients are in the exact same proportions in both the smaller and larger doses. I know, I know, some mfgrs. warn against doing this as unless you're very cautious in splitting the right amount - we use a medical syringe - there's a risk of possible overdosing. I'm not suggesting ANYONE do this but it does work for us and our pups.
