^^^THIS.

That's why the BTA price is slowly going down. They are not bad games, but these are SO OLD and have been around so many years with so many deals that any game collector ought to own every single one of these games on some platform. Apparently I do too, except for X-Com 2 which is not worth $15 to me.

I'm still having trouble deciding to pull the trigger at $5. Here are my notes of what I have based on Frugal's list:

Pay $1 or more for:
- X-Com: Enemy Unknown Plus (Vita) - I DON'T HAVE A VITA, JUST A PSTV I NEVER USE
- Civ Revolution 2 Plus (Vita) - I DON'T HAVE A VITA, JUST A PSTV I NEVER USE
- The Bureau: X-Com Declassified (PS3) -I PAID $2 FOR THIS ON PSN
- Evolve (PS4) -I BOUGHT THE ULTIMATE EDITION DISC FOR AROUND $7

Beat the average (currently $5.62) for:
- X-Com: Enemy Within (PS3) - I HAVE THIS ON STEAM
- BioShock (PS3) -I HAVE THIS ON STEAM AND THE PS3 VERSION ON DISC
- Battleborn Trial (Platinum VC) (PS4) -I HAVE THIS ON STEAM
- Borderlands (PS3) -I HAVE THIS ON STEAM AND FREE ON PSN+
- Borderlands II Ultimate Ed. (PS3) -I HAVE THIS ON PS4 DISC
- Mafia II (PS3) -I HAVE THIS ON STEAM
- Spec Ops: The Line (PS3) -I HAVE THIS ON STEAM AND X360 DISC

Pay $20 or more for:
- X-Com 2 (PS4) -NOT WORTH $15. WAKE ME UP WHEN THIS IS $5 OR LESS

So, is there any reason I should pay $5 for this bundle to get digital copies of a few of them? I can't bring myself to do it.

On top of that having any of these on PSN+ will block you from redeeming the key. You actually have to make a second PSN account without PSN+ to be able to redeem those.

This is a pretty weak bundle. I really wonder how many people even have PS3s hooked up or Vitas without dust on them.

I'm a little surprised they didn't give some of the PS4 ports of these games. If they were for PS4, Bioshock, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, maybe Mafia 3 in the premium tear would have made this worth spending the money but as it stands, it just isn't worth it.

It's a bunch of games most of us own or have already played. If we haven't played them, there would be better, remastered versions to play on a newer console.

Hey frugal. Please add the message below in big bold letters.

ATTENTION: A single key will be provided to redeem all the games in your bundle. You will not be able to add money to unlock additional content after your initial purchase.
---------------------

Edit: Are those PS3 games backwards compatible on the PS4?

No such thing as PS3 games being backwards compatible on the PS4. When that happens they are released as PS4 versions that have been converted, so they will say PS4.

Funny how Battleborn is the only game I don't have and it's listed as a TRIAL. What does that mean? Why do you have to have a code to get a trial? I thought those were free on PSN?

And of course it says you cannot increase your amount later as is always the case on the rare console bundles, and if it's like last time it won't let you buy a second one in the same account.

I have a BTA of $5.15 locked in, but I'm not even sure if I want to buy this bundle because I have every game on disc (and don't care about PS Vita) or the PS4, so all this would accomplish is giving me digital versions for $5 and change.

I think Battleborn has gone F2P, but you're receiving in-game currency with your key. That's what someone on r/gamedeals said.

Thanks. I have a PS3 and Xbox one so I'm not really familiar with the PS4.

Good games and price and TU for that, but like many I suspect not worth it for me personally as I own multiple versions of several of these on PC, PS3, and/or PS4 already.

Plus there was the Humble Monthly two or three months back that basically gave you X-Com 2 for $12 plus whatever else was thrown in.

Yeah, it's really a bundle for patient console gamers -- I'm not sure whether that's a thing -- who still have their PS3 hooked up.
By patient do you mean those people who have not bought these games which have been $5 or less multiple times over the years? Even I'm not that patient as I already have all of them. It's hard not to cave on games when they get down to a few bucks or are part of Steam bundles.

As far as having one's PS3 still hooked up, absolutely yes. I'm shocked so many people have bailed on their PS3s or traded them in for so little credit. PS3 is still a good platform and there are some games that have no next gen console or Steam version available. That's the beauty of those cheap HDMI switches or an amplifier with a lot of HDMI inputs. Then you can buy cheap shoe shelves or other things to stack stuff on top of each other while leaving some ventilation space. I've never had a problem fitting all the consoles I need.

BTW, FrugalGamer, I have to ask. What caused you to post this bundle immediately with a place-holder post but somehow you knew not post the last few HBs? You must have a crystal ball or a much better sense of popularity than I do. I thought I was doing a favor posting the last few HBs when nobody else did, and nobody gave a rat's behind on any of them, so posting them was a total waste of my time. I don't post them for reps, but if nobody is interested then it feels like I wasted my time. I think I should go by the simple rule that there are only 2 possibilities: (1) somebody else (like you) will post the bundle immediately (with a place-holder post if needed) and it will be popular or (2) nobody will post the bundle and if I post it nobody will care, so the moral of the story is: I should never try to post HBs.

BTW, I'm happy if this is a popular bundle and you get reps. Again I don't care about reps. I just thought I was doing people a favor posting those other HBs, but I quickly learned that was not the case.

Just saw this post... I remember that too. I rarely pay more than a few bucks for any Steam games. Even Shadows of Morder GOTY and the Lego games I waited until they were under $5. $12 is way out of my price range because my backlog is too huge.

Are you buying this bundle? I wonder if most people are skipping it? I don't think the PS3 version of any of the above games are superior to the Steam versions.

X-Com2 might be the best game I've played in the last ten years.
