Is the heart rate monitor always on like the Fitbit Charge 2? How does it compare?

I don't think anyone expects gps on a $60 watch.
Yet gps in <$50 phones is everywhere so it's not really a matter of cost especially given the original price.

I would buy one if it had gps and I suspect this watch didn't sell well because they didn't include it.

It's pretty good tbh, but I don't have Charge 2 to compare. It's actually a pretty interesting set up, they have a true sleep mode, which I think monitors your HR to the dot at an expense of battery life. True sleep off gets me about 6 days of battery or so, true sleep on will drain the power in a few days.

Nothing like the Huawei Watch 2

After more than a month I'm still in love with it. For 210 dollars was a perfect buy.
Regarding the brand, I'm amazed with thr quality. Screen and finish. It feels like a Samsung made watch.
We can't wear two watches at the same time m so buy the best you can.

Agree, quality is top notch. However Huawei Watch v1 is still the best. V2 was a huge letdown and a step backwards. They decided to forego the high end market and move into the cheaper more affordable sector

It is very curious to see anyone questioning the quality of this product getting down vote. Especially when reviewers are less than impressed with this watch.

Top 3 results from my google search reduced my interest in this watch. Additionally, I am careful about the comments.

I replaced my Fitbit Blaze with this when Blaze died and it does everything just as well or better. The only thing it's missing is altitude/stair counter. And the app isn't as nice as fitbit, but everything works. It also looks amazing in person, especially on smaller wrists.
