Cut metal pipes, rusted bolts or screws. Sharpen axe or lawnmower blades or cut rebar for the fun of it to watch the sparks. Lol.

I own plenty of Ryobi tools, they are fine for home use and all of my woodworking projects.

I just bought a house and am just learning how to be "handy" - what could I do with this re: home repair?

Well you could hold it in your hand. Let out a big sigh and wish you didn't buy a Ryobi tool.

1) Anyone who uses 'bro' is instantly discounted.

2) This is a 6500rpm device with an extremely small surface area that is extremely hard to control.

3) Using a tool for an unintended purpose is, well a *fail*.

Applause
So why then do they make conical and flat flap discs?? Are they not made of sandpaper? When by definition is made to sand....

It might not be used to "sand" as your basic needs might require... but there are sanding purposes beyond your obvious needs it is used for.
