You will need a compatible Samsung sound bar in order to use these. Not for everyone.

I just bought a samsung sound bar from Fry which was posted on SD a couple days ago. This wireless speaker is compatible with that but I dont know its quality. Is it good or I just have to wait for another better one?

Have the M550 soundbar, awesome set. Fit my needs for no running wires under the floor and up the wall

These are terrible.

Be wary of the size, the speakers are about the size of soda cans.

They also don't give you any kind of true surround. They are just two extra stereo speakers. Volume is also not great.

Not recommended at all.

I have the wired version SWA-8000 which came free with my samsung hw 550 so I can't speak about these. However, the ones I have the audio is too low and it is barely noticeable not really worth having in my opinion.

You have to make sure that the wires are half way in, otherwise there's an issue thats been documented. You can even increase the volume to +6 on the sounbar via the remote.

Actually they do.. I even called Samsung before buying them. It's true Dolby Digital 5.1 and will decode it from the source. DTS is still 2.1 though. It also all depends on your soundbar, for example mine is the M550 which is 3.1 channels. Otherwise you're getting 4.1 channels.

No they don't.

Every Samsung soundbar will decode a Dolby signal, but these speakers will not give you discrete channels.

I've tested it thoroughly with a 5.1 test disc with separate checks for each channel.

These rear speakers do not ever under any circumstances become rear left and rear right channels.

What soundbar/TV do you have? I tested it and they most definitely give me 5.1 surround. So.....

This the is the Best surround speaker for your sound bar. I think its serviceable. I agree with the guy above its not true surround because I hear dialogue behind me often times. But it's the only surround speaker that's compatible for your sound bar . Its a good enough compliment for it.

I literally just got the 8000S model to go with the soundbar Costco is offering for $139.

The surround speakers are useless unless you absolutely Crank the volume, to the point of discomfort for some. It adds a little to the experience but the clarity isn't very good. I'm already missing my basic onkyo receiver plus pioneer andruw jones bookshelf speaker setup.
