Automatic 13 Gallon Trash $29.99 at Costco YMMV

Was at my local Costco in Northern California, and saw this model marked down from its normal $49.99 down to $29.99. Somewhat mixed reviews, uses 6 AA batteries at a time, but if you have rechargeable batteries, with Costco's return policy, seems worth a shot. Not sure if I can upload pics on mobile, but will later if anyone would like.

My store has them as $49.99 with $20 instant rebate. Wasn't a markdown. Bought one last week. Seemed ok but the lid doesn't close most of the time. Will probably return it and get the Simple Human one with the foot step instead of battery operated.

I've had it for a couple months. don't love or hate it. most annoying thing is the lid shuts pretty quickly (about 5 sec). bought this to replace our foot pedal can when the plastic mechanism broke. I'd probably go with a foot pedal again next time

The Rochester, NY location had the deal as of a few weeks ago, should still be on.

How often are you just shoveling endless loads into the garbage? Five seconds is plenty.

This is a repeat for NoCal from a couple months ago. Was good in SoCal just last month.

I got one, and it works great. Keeps the bugs out of my trash when I leave the door open at night. But I did have to seal the gap with foam sticky tape where the manual lid raiser finger hold is.

I bought one a little over a month ago. It takes some getting used to. The sensor doesn't pick up my hand sometimes so I feel like obi wan trying to mind trick this thing into opening. This runs on 6 AA batteries. Might be a good idea to get rechargeable ones to keep from spend so much on disposable ones. $30 is a great price on one of these new fangled gadgets.
