$7.99 sale price is back on these filters on Amazon [amazon.com], matching pricing from early July (thread). Beats price from end of May that was on the front page (thread).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Great oil filter. Up there with Wix XP which is arguably the best filter. But wix xp is around $11 right now. Great find

What benefit does an $8 filter carry over a $2-$3 Purolator?

I believe there's a M1-110A version of this filter that "guarantee" 20,000 miles instead of 15,000 miles for this version. Walmart has it for $3 more. Is it worth the $3 more for 5,000 miles like they "advertise"?

This is a good price! When I had a car that used this filter it was usually $12-$14 at all my local auto parts stores.
I believe this fits a number of different makes and models. I know it works on some Nissan/infiniti vehicles with the 3.5 V6. Go to the Amazon page and enter in your vehicle info to see if it's compatible.
