Seriously considering this as sort of an impulse spurge for a new toy. The Sams club link currently shows it as sold out. Will there be a restock or another source to get these at $400 new now or anytime soon?

This is currently going for $800 new online. Since this is refurbished, is there anything I should consider since it is imo a pretty big purchase. Will it be extremely used, damaged, etc?

Regarding returns: I read woots return policy and they say they say they don't accept returns. Regarding damage: they say to contact the manufacturer. Since this is bought via Woot and also refurbished, does it have a warranty? How long, a year or 30 days?

Just wondering what my recourse would be should I receive a faulty machine, or it stops working in a month, 6 month a year..

Sorry for the barrage of questions and thanks in advance

Good questions. They may be better answered if you head over to the Facebook user group for the Segway minipro. I say that because there are some users there that have bought used or refurbished units. Some may chime in here if they see the post.

This is not a good price. These will come back in stock at Amazon at $499, maybe lower for BF. I'd resist the impulse

Personally speaking, I think $399 is the top I would pay. At $499, even if new and from a reputable source like Amazon, it's tempting but I might most likely decline.

My hesitations at the moment:

This is imo, a big purchase and a warranty would be needed/ideal. I read mixed things about woot and Ninebot's customer service seems to be mixed as well. I have the feeling that if I'm unlucky and the machine stops working in 1 month or 6 months, I would be thrown around with Woot telling me to call Ninebot and Ninebot telling me since it's 1) refurbished and 2) woot-related, they won't be able to do anything. Thus, leaving me out $400 for a few months of fun.

if you purchase new with a CC that has double guarantee, you are much better off than purchase refurb. i'd say you wait for $499 at Amazon.
