Costa has the best ship captains. They guide the ships in so close to picturesque Mediterranean islands you can almost reach out and touch them ...

Great price. However, read reviews generally on European cruises. Things like after dinner coffee are not included, etc. also, European guests don't feel as bound to respect lines at buffets, to wait for guests to exit elevators before barging on, etc. just be forewarned, and adjust your expectations and you will enjoy your experience more. BTW - this is based on my experience on the Costa Concordia. Yep. That one.

Europeans have much more in common with Asians than I've expected.

Lining up/personal space is lost and I have to start throwing elbows.
Thanks for the feedback. We have done many cruises and wanted to branch out and try some European itineraries, but I think you talked me out of it.

Been to Europe many times, and always find the manners are awful--they are rude and have no issues with personal space-- they will sit on you if needed!! As beautiful as the sites are and so much to do and see the people are the worst and in some cities if they know you are American ---expect more rudeness!! Sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it-- other places the opposite-- it all depends. Happy Sailing!

hey guys. rudeness goes both ways and it happens in every culture and every country, just depends on what you feel is rude.

much like that dumbass drunk american who recently did the hitler salute in germany.

Not sure if you are trying to be a subtle racist towards mainlanders, but Taiwanese, Viet, HK, Mainland all have no sense of personal space. Japs are pretty awesome maybe because they are very conservative and shy away from my elbows.
Looks like a few of you need to buy a Spike Away Vest:

On a more serious note, yes, we Americans like our personal space and so when it's invaded we feel uncomfortable, but keep in mind different cultures have different concepts of personal space, so their being "rude" might not be malicious or intentional.

Terrible, women run around topless and have no problem pushing up against you on lines, just terrible.
