I can second that Nike was a huge pain in the ass on this deal. I bought a new one, they sent me a used one AND somehow duplicated my order and charged me twice. They refused to honor the difference in price between what I paid for new and the open box, said I could only return (they were sold out at the time). It was a PIA to get apple to restart the warranty even though it had never been activated ( I eventually persevered) and it took two weeks and numerous attempts in chat / threatening to issue chargeback before they escalated and refunded me for the duplicate order.

Bottom line is I just felt treated like garbage from Nike on this. This is not how a major company should operate.

I purchased a new one and then an open box once I saw it was slightly less.
The only trouble/problem I had was returning the new in box watch since on the date it had the order as the 9th but was delivered on the 14th. The employee said I was past the 14 days but I showed her the 2nd paper that comes with the watch that says 14 days from delivery. Took about 20 minutes to return but I got it done.

I found out when I went through the setup the watch was linked to another account. They refuse to refund the watch and Apple will not unlock the watch. Nike really should not be selling these watches it's really crazy. I'm still trying otherwise I'm out $260+

How did you try to get a refund?
By chat or at a store?

Sucks that this happens

Right, so at what step does it tell you it's locked? Do you need an iPhone to determine that? was your watch factory reset when you turned it on first?

Yes, you need an iphone. Yes, it was reset but if your watch is reset and it hasn't been unlinked from the original users apple account then you are screwed. And when it tells you the watch is locked to xxx@xx.com and that isn't your email address, that is another sign. Once you don't know the password you basically have a very expensive paperweight.
