By and large made in the US with imported leather. The lower end loafers are made in the Dominican Republic. If you want to get technical, some models are begun in the DR and see final assembly in the US.

This deal is a great way to get started with AE. Note the sale extends to the Shoebank as well, which may have greater selection though you'll have to call the relevant store to order.

Edit: If anyone thinks they'll fit a 7.5 EEE, the Kenwood penny loafer in shell cordovan is in stock @ $297 and eligible for 20% off for a total of $237. Add a brush and some cordovan shoe cream, couple that with the Amex offer and you're in cordovan for around $200. That's a screaming deal.

Awesome deal picked a pair up, thank you. I've been waiting to try some Allen's out and the sale makes it happen. Does anybody know if they run pretty on point in size to some Salvatori Ferragamo's or Santoni's?

Waiting for AE belts to go on sale. I keep hearing people rave about them, but the MSRP is quite steep. I own several pairs of AE shoes and love them so I have no doubt the belts are worth the money. I just can't justify the expense for a BELT!

It depends almost entirely on the last. FWIW in your average pair of Clarks or whatnot I am a 9D. On the Allen Edmonds 65 (Park Avenue) last I am an 8E/EE. Reading the reviews can be helpful but there is no substitute for going to a store and being sized properly. My very broad advice for the 65 last if you are buying blind would be to go a half size down and one width up.

It would be on your AmEx web page after login as an offer to click. Not everybody gets one, it probably depends on your spending habits on that card.

Anyone willing to share their thoughts on a pair that might look good with a nice pair of jeans and a nice "going out" shirt?

My wife isn't available and I haven't a clue Smilie

You grand total has to be over $250 that you charge to your card. That's all that matters.

Edited to clarify = You have to have the offer on the card first:

1. Login to American Express with the card you want to use.
2. Browse down to "Offers" and look for the Allen Edmonds $50 off $250 offer.
3. Add offer to card (that offer should now show as "added to Card" in a seperate tab).
4. Be sure to use the card you added the offer on to pay over $250 at Allen Edmonds.
5. You should get a $50 credit on your American Express within a few days (usually).
