First post, sorry if there's any problem. A friend of mine was looking for a new laptop for under a thousand, and this is what I found. Hope this suits some of your needs.

Less than a week ago you could get this same configuration for 940. Just wait for one of the double ram days that CyberpowerPC does at least once a month, and select the 8GB, because that'll reduce the cost by 60, and you get an upgrade to 16GB ram.

Edit:
For those of you that listened to me, today 48 hrs later on Aug 19, CyberpowerPC is selling this for 949. Under The Core components section, select 'Message > $50 instant rebate'. Not a significant difference, but 50 bucks isn't a bad discount.

I'm more curious about sRGB coverage on this. Has anyone done a test? Couldn't seem to find reviews last I looked.

Uh were you under a rock for the last month? I don't even play DOTA but I saw the 24 million dollar prize pool and Olympic sport consideration.

Looks pretty thick so I would assume it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 6lbs.

It's not good..... had a gaming pc burnout.... they fixed it over one month and returned... happened again.....same story... then one more time..... one year warranty expired the third time so they would not cover it
