Amazon Video $10 off Rental or Purchase YMMV

Searched but didn't see anything. Apologies if it's already posted.

This morning, I turned on my Fire TV and on the home menu I saw an offer for $10 off a movie purchase or rental offer.

Edit: I just got home and upon turning on my Fire TV from sleep mode. It didn't show up. I ended up restarting it and it showed up when it booted up to the home menu on the 2nd page. I included a picture of the offer in the home page

I don't see it on my Fire TV. I'm not a prime member. I do rent movies occasionally.

I wonder if it's a Prime Member offer only...

On your fire tv/firestick, it should pop up as soon as you turn it on... on the home menu. on the top. It'll say "Redeem $10"

Unless you know something about a new box coming out the current 2 gen old UHD fireTV box is a total waste of money.

Why would someone buy a high-end box that doesn't support HDR? Roku Premier, Chromecast Ultra, and other HDR android boxes all support it but Amazon sells a box that won't even deliver their own HDR content.

I am but it doesn't do HDR ultra HD. It is a no sale without such a now standard feature with all the other vendors on their higher end devices. There have been tons or rumors that they would release one over the last few years or two yet crickets. It's a shame since everyone with a Sony or Vizio TV can't get Amazon HDR content through typical means from Amazon.

That box should be 50 bucks max these days.

I agree on the price. It is an old box at this point though. How many TVs had hdr when the box came out? I always thought of 4k and hdr as bluray formats. I don't understand how it is possible to stream that. 4k blurays discs are 100GB for 120 minutes, so about 142Mbps. Unless of course the video is extremely compressed In which case, what is the point of a crap 4k video. Kinda like a 4k cam copy of a newly released movie.
