Cricket has the Idol 4 with or without VR goggles for $49 for new port in customers and $89 for existing customers. Does anyone know how I would go about getting it for $49 as an current customer, my bill is coming up in a few days and I'm just curious as to the exact process, adding a line then canceling the new line?

Just hit the upgrade option . Then your total for the phone will be $49 plus your monthly bill which you get back later.

I thought it's 49 only got port in? Wondering if it's worth even for 49?

For VR you should use a min 2K LCD phone. Anything less looks like giant pixels inside that headset.

Yep. I've used this phone for a year now. VR isn't usable and a novelty at best.

For U.S. Customers

If you are looking to port your FreedomPop phone number out to another carrier, you will need your PIN number and Account number. Please make sure your FreedomPop account remains open until the porting process is complete. After the port out is done, you will need to contact us to cancel your FreedomPop service.

The problem with these phones is that they are very hard to unlock unless you stick out 6 months with them.

Cricket was unable to Port in a FreedomPop number last month. If I remember correctly FP lines are VoIP. I ported in my # to tmo and then to cricket.

If you have cell service with them you can port the number. The VoIP free account numbers you can't port, they are different.
