Fitbit One Activity Tracker Black, $15 @ Walmart B&M * YMMV *

The Fitbit One Activity Tracker in Black is on clearance at $15 at some Walmart B&M Stores.

I got 2 at Chula Vista, CA on 1150 Broadway. These were locked away in a cabinet, but not the cabinet under the Fitbit display with the rest of the Fitbits. Rather, they were under the smart watch display on the other side. Ironically, there was a yellow clearance tag clearly stating the price inside the cabinet, but it was not visible from outside the cabinet as it had opaque doors.

The other Walmart stores in the San Diego area have it at $49, so this is definitely a YMMV.

These only last about a year. We've been through several.. no more. One lasted 2 months and they replaced it under warranty.

Thanks! I was going to ask how durable they are. I've been thru 3 Zips and I don't think I'm particularly hard on them. I was going to jump on this but I guess I'll pass.

I lost my previous Fitbit One, so I can't speak to their long term reliability, but if you can get it at the clearance price, then even if it lasts one a year, it would still be a reasonable deal.

I just accidentally put my Fitbit Zip through the washer and dryer, as it was clipped to the coin pocket of my jeans, and it still seems to be working (for now).

I've had mine for 3 years and it's still going on. I had one previously that accidentally fell out of my pocket in a Whole Foods parking lot and I ran over it. I contacted Fitbit and they replaced it free of charge.

Why do these sell for so much now? Price is higher than retail.

What are you talking about? The retail price for a Fitbit One is $99.95. Even the Fitbit Zip has a retail price of $59.95.

Interesting, that is indeed rather strange. In any case, while the $15 clearance price is difficult to find, the $49 sale price at Walmart is easily available, at least in San Diego.

The reason they are so much is the Fitbit One has a pretty loyal following and there were rumors that Fitbit was going to discontinue it. It was OOS for quite a while on the Fitbit website and many people from overseas were complaining that no local retailers were carrying them anymore. So once Amazon went OOS the prices on the third party seller products and on ebay skyrocketed. I was actually looking for one when all this was happening. I think it is available again on the Fitbit website so you should see prices from the 3rd party sellers start to come down. This Walmart deal is a good deal if you can find it in a store. I;m nnot sure how accurate Brickseek is and the closest store showing any for me is quite a drive.

Just here to comment on the fitbit one.
I've had my fitbit one for almost 3 years.
It's more accurate and durable than my wrist fitbit.
I don't have to take it off to do things like dishes, and it doesn't pick up wrist movements from cleaning/laundry & it picks up when my wrist is still with the stroller or shopping cart.
I 'm on my 3rd HR Charge because the band keeps falling apart.

I thought that was the cause. I didn't know why they liked it so much. What feature made it worth $130? Oh well, flipped a few for $100+, a little worried about returns if prices drop back down.
