Same here! I've already been tempted at the $129 price point but would have been down at BB when the doors opened for $70 and I probably would have purchased multiples. I already own one of these and I've been looking to add a second monitor so that is my interest in this particular monitor.

First of all, thanks for your question. It prompted me do do a little research. I always wondered what "IPS" was but never took action to find out. I also was completely clueless that VA or TN existed. Now, thanks to this article I found, http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides...pls-va-crt I know.
Now to answer your question from my perspective. It depends on your needs. I'm not a gamer so I don't need IPS or TN. It was by pure chance that I own this particular 27" monitor. I needed one a couple of years ago and this was on sale. I've been very pleased with the performance of it since. Now I'm looking to add a second monitor and I want the same exact model so that they look the same. As stated in my post above I've already been tempted at the $129 price point but those were for refurbs. This seems to be for a new unit so it is even more appealing to me.

For work, I need multiple windows open. Email, 3-4 other windows so would I be better off getting 2 - 21 inches ones as opposed to 1 -27inch?

2 smaller monitors would be better. Make sure your computer has 2 video outputs though.
