I bought this for $150 in 2015 all with the added controller. In 2015, you'd expect that this NSTV will be better and cheaper by 2017... I kid you not, the first version was better and was cheaper when I bought it. Good thing I bought 2.

It's really sad that everything else are getting expensive like SSD's, video cards and what not...

You could buy this one and just add an external hard drive. At least that's what I did.

I recommend using an external drive too (or a NAS). 500 GB isn't much capacity for a media server. (I have over 8 TB in/attached to the PC I use as one.)

How do you put movies on the drive. Do you disconnect and attached to PC, transfer movies and then reconnect to shield?
