If you live in the South of the US, and have a slab, you may want to choose veneers over tile. With increasing swings of wet and dry weather patterns; a good moisture barrier padding, under a quality veneer (far more flexible than tile and grouts) is more sustainable.

a thin decorative covering of fine wood applied to a coarser wood or other material.

I think us Yankees call it laminate

Good for bathrooms but can't have tile all over especially in North East. Gets cold.

By veneer, are you talking about poured overlays such as concrete and epoxy? Or something else?

Thanks OP, got the white wood tile. Not every location has it but there was one a little further out that had them at 1.50/sq ft. Each tile is 1.71 sq ft so $2.55 per tile. I needed a lot of tile so I placed multiple orders using 15 off 50 coupons. 20 tiles were 51.00 minus 15 so $36 or about 1.06/sq ft. Plus 3% CB.

Where do you get the wet saw to cut 48" tiles? Using your handheld grinder?
