65W Cree BR30 Dimmable 10 Flood LED bulbs - free after GC (Ocean State Job Lot) [YMMV]

This is a bit YMMV; I was in an Ocean State Job Lot [oceanstatejoblot.com] in Griswold, CT today and noticed a couple pallets of Cree 65W 2700K BR30 Dimmable Flood LED bulbs with a sign that said "Buy 10 bulbs for $9.90, get $9.90 Crazy Deals card". Lo and behold, it was indeed 10 bulbs for $9.90, not $9.90/ea. The Crazy Deals card is basically a GC, so in essence I paid only tax on $9.90 for this deal - which in CT wound up to be (6.25%*$9.90=) $0.63 for 10 LED bulbs.

I say YMMV because Ocean State Job Lot is, as the title says, a job lot place which is always YMMV so I am not sure if these bulbs are even available at other OSJL.

The SKU is 849665006749 [ebay.com]. The model # is BBR30-06527FLF-12DE26-4U100

These bulbs have mixed reviews, but 10 bulbs for free after Gift card.

Thanks OP!!

OK, reviews on HD are horrible. "bought 12, 8 died less than 2 years"

Ha ha. Really.

I read the description twice because I initially thought it said 'Cree Burnable' instead of 'Cree Dimmable'. I'm just too tired right now I guess. Smilie

Holy cow did you put on a hat and purchased 50 more? That's a steal

CREE are great LEDs, still remembered paying $14 for a bulb couple years back

Cree LED home light bulbs are crap. Guaranteed failure well before the rated life or even the warranty.

Cree has assured me they have introduced a new version, and even sent me one, but it still flickers...although, granted, it's lasted longer than the previous ones.

These are probably the crap version being "unloaded" on the unsuspecting, confident in Cree's FLASHLIGHT reputation (but home light bulbs don't share it).

0.0000000001% chance of that.

These will simply just fail. No house fire. They run cooler than CFLs. But the innards are poorly designed and/or built.

This is a "you get what you pay for" deal.... I saw these last week at Ocean State and they must have had 1,000 of these on the shelf, one in daylight one in natural light. Agreed with many others that these bulbs are garbage and will die under regular daily use in less than 12 months. Stick with Philips, Feit, or a better Cree bulb.
