LG French Door Fridge, 27 CuFt at Costco.com : LFXS27466S. 1599

Full disclosure, I haven't purchased yet, but seriously considering:
https://m.costco.com/LG-27-CuFt-3...71419.html

Seems like a pretty slick deal. Can't see what it's missing compared to the more expensive versions. If you are comparing against the 30CuFt models, we like that this is spec'd as having one inch less depth, so it doesn't stick out so far.

LG Site:

Same price at Best Buy, but doesn't have the extended warranty and liberal return policy that Costco does. Costco doubles warranty to four years if you use the citi costco visa card.

I will never buy another fridge with the freezer compartment on the bottom like that. It fills up so rapidly that I am constantly reminding myself that I can't buy any more frozen items because there's no more room!

My wife would totally agree with you. I would caution anyone without a second freezer in the garage that this is the case. We have a chest freezer in the garage, so we want more fresh food space inside.

I'm about to buy a new refrigerator and would appreciate more background on your freezer issue.

What is the reason that the freezer fills so rapidly? Is this because space is used inefficiently after stuff gets piled in or because it's just easier to drop more into the freezer? I've noticed some design differences with varying numbers of drawers, etc. which I'm sure must have some effect.

My next fridge will probably be the Samsung quad door model so I can turn 3/4's of it into a fridge. The chest freezer has most of the frozen stuff in it already.

TU on this for good price, but it's the older design -- single drawer freezer (which causes the complaints?).

Better is the door-in-door like this model, but with the two-drawer freezer. Makes the space much more usable.

I'm just curious what makes this LG deal so special compared to something like these for the same or less available at Lowes?

$1500
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Whirlpoo...el/4740414

$1600
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Whirlpoo...1000257811

$1300
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frigidai...1000225693

You can also add coupons/military discount to make these prices even better.
