Got this phone with Virgin Mobile's one year service for $1... Coming from Android this thing feels like a little toy. It's so incredibly basic and restricted. I really don't get what all the fuss is about with iPhones. I feel like I went back in time in features to Android 2012. My free Android I got with Boost Mobile, which isn't even a flagship phone, does a hell of a lot more than this iPhone.

The reason why most like me have iPhones, is that its just works. I have no issues with my iPhone's having issues. meanwhile Android phones have gotten better but the specs they get and have compared to the skins that they get with all the apps, are nonsense. Look at the Samsung lineup. They include an copycat version of almost every Google app on there phones. I got annoyed having like 3-4 rows of just pre-installed apps. Plus when they used to brand there phones with the carriers logos, got annoying.

You comment "It just works" is a popular talking point from
iPhone users but I truly wonder if there are rose-colored glasses affecting judgment. I've owned a 3G, 3GS, 4S, 5, and now the 2017 SE. Every single one has stuttered, lagged, and frozen. Every one. Same with my HTC 7 and the Blackberry Bold I owned. I truly don't believe you haven't ever experienced any of the aforementioned issues I encountered. And let's not even get into downloading the newest iOS when your iPhone is a year or more old.

I had the 6s Plus and now the 7 Plus, and planned to upgrade to the 8 plus. Other then being on the beta of iOS 11, I haven't had any lag/frozen/stuttered like you have.

Obviously our situations are anecdotal and furthermore you've had iOS 9/10 phones and perhaps that coupled with the newer hardware (A chips, increased RAM) could be the reason for your issue-free experiences. I'm a tech nerd that can't afford the best current flagship but eventually I'll get my hands on toys to play with.

Thanks. The SE is my first current phone since the HTC 7. Looking foward to the new Sharp phone and the S9 as well as the new One+. Maybe I'll even take the leap and shell out the cash for one of them 😍

Speaking of lag, one thing I've noticed on the iPhone SE is a noticeable delay when I click on an Instagram video to turn on the sound. It takes a good solid second to kick in. While on my cheap Android I got for free, it only takes a fraction of a second, it's damn near instant.

You're wrong with the new s8 they fixed those touchwiz issues. I was on the same boat as u until this s8 plus I'm typing this on. I'm so happy android hardware surpassed iphone.

But they still have all that bloatware on the phone huh? Plus different carrier models?

No bloatware. And yes, but I purchase unlocked models.
