Sorry mate, but you can find the same product (different brand) at a lower price anytime in brick and mortar retail stores (e.g., Frys).

I don't have Frys on the east coast... best buy has one with less features (only works with 2.5" sata) for low 20s. For what I need this is a good deal.

it's a bit more than i wanted to spend ... but since it'll work with all hard drives i got 1 for "piece of mind" of being able to access everything.

I got like 10 similar ones for free after rebate.... 30 bucks is NOT a deal.

and memory, gpus, ssds were cheaper b4 as well ... but I'm all ears for something with identical functionality

I strongly doubt that. Maybe a sata to USB cable but not a powered 3.5" w IDE. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Nevermind - the one I saw was only USB2.0.

I got 3 or 4 of these for free couple years ago. Yes I know, you would need a time machine to get them again. RIP Tigerdirect.
