Vitamix Certified Reconditioned 780 for $299 + FREE standard shipping!

https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/...100369-eml

****************************************************************************************************

This is a great deal for one of the modern Vitamix machines...Below are some of the features...

Features

The 780 features a responsive Touchscreen Control Panel. The sleek silhouette and low-profile 64-ounce container fit easily below most overhead cabinets, while five program settings offer convenience for our most popular blends.

Touchscreen Control Panel

The LED control panel is made of hardened glass to resist cracks and scratches, and easy-tap buttons are only activated by touch, not splashes or spills.

Automated Blending

Five pre-programmed settings ensure simple cleaning, walk-away convenience, and consistent results for smoothie, frozen dessert, soup, and purée recipes.

Low-Profile 64-ounce Container

The 64-ounce Low-Profile Container is perfect for family meals and entertaining, while fitting comfortably under most kitchen cabinets.

Pulse Feature

With the Pulse feature, layer course chops over smooth purées for heartier recipes, such as chunky salsas or thick vegetable soups.

You can't go wrong with either.
I chose to get a 780 this time (already have a creations model with the 2.2 motor).

The 780 uses the next generation motor which has more torque and is quieter and has more sound dampening.
the 5300 has been a solid performer at many friends homes and many commercial kitchens for dozens of years so you can't go wrong

I actually prefer the mechanical controls because we have all seen touch screens from some very expensive stoves and refrigerators go bad. I'm going to roll the dice and stick with the 5 year warranty even though it has the touchscreen. I'm assuming that's why they have somany refurbs and am gambling they've identified and fixed the issue.

The mechanicals have rock solid performance tested over dozens of years. My creations model has mechanical controls, so now I have one of each.

anyone worried about the touch screen panel going bad?

This is a good deal. I bought the 5300 refurb yesterday for $263 total including the free cookbook using the champkarad promo code. Was considering cancelling and getting this, but champkarad doesn't work on this and it would cost me $325 ($62 more). I like the idea of better torque and quieter operation, but not the digital controls. For the lower price and manual controls, I think the 5300 is a better fit for me.

Either way you go, you get a great blender.

Also: If you purchased within the last thirty days, give them a call and see what they can do. At a minimum, they should be able extend the warranty from 5 years to 8. Or you might get a free container.

all vitamix machines perform great! 780 is just more modern with touch functions.....if you don't care much about all the bells and whistles go for 5300....But if you do care for the touchscreen panel/more modern look and feel go for 780....

If it were me, i would go for 780 for additional $30...I already have a vitamix from last year, this is one amazing machine...it is used at least 3 times a week and still going strong!

The 780! Newer, nicer/easier to clean front panel, low profile container (I think tge 5300 still has the taller container), and better resale.

In for 1. Been wanting a vitamix for awhile. I think this is a good deal. Even better than the 5300 deal that shows up regularly.

Definitely the 780. Quieter and easier to clean (you could probably sell it used for this price).
