To receive the $200 savings bonus: 1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval; 2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 10 business days of account opening; AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the date of deposit
Looks like 300 for checking but to get the 200 for savings you need to deposit 15k..

You can do both (if your tax status is permanent US Resident). Else you need to visit the branch along with 2 IDs and Passport needs to be one of those.

Would they do a hard credit pull? Also what if I already have a credit card account with them?

Key Info (from website - edited):
To receive the $300 checking bonus: 1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account; 2) Deposit $25 or more at account opening; AND 3) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 60 days of account opening. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits from your employer or the government. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 10 business days. To receive the $200 savings bonus: 1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM accoun; 2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 10 business days of account opening; AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the date of deposit. The new money cannot be funds held by Chase or its affiliates.

This is their standard checking\savings\direct deposit offer many get fliers for in the mail all the time. Seems like this is online though. Still, hardly a slick deal imo given the direct deposit requirement and given that it is Chase, the king of nickel and diming and making you go through hoops to give you lousy service and no interest on your money imo. Even at 1% for 3 months on 15k, it amounts to $37.50 so the offer is not even worth the full 500. And that does not factor in the loss of interest on you direct deposit money.

FYI, I did this about a week ago, and already received the $300 bonus, even before my first DD hit.

Does anyone know how long before you can re-open a checking account to get the credit? I just closed my account not to long ago.
