$100?
I wonder when will people stop paying so much for glasses that cost few dollars to make. Go to your local outlets or discount stores, you'll be amazed what you can find for $20 to $30 polarized sunglasses.

Sure if you like to display the rayban brand it's a different story.

To each their own, but in regards to expensive glasses/sunglasses I have noticed that there is certainly a higher level of craftsmanship that goes into the styles and appearance of higher-end glasses.

I was a budget-minded consumer in regard to sunglasses for years, and then recently splurged and the difference was noticeable and lengths above the cheapy polarized $10-$20 shades I was used to.

Sure, $100 may still be too high, but find a price that works for you. I splurged on a $60 pair and felt like it was worth it.

Is the markup on a Porsche high? Yes, certainly... But that's until you get in one and feel the exhilaration & compare it to your Hyundai (I drive one LMAO)

Doesn't Ray-Ban have a lifetime guarantee on their glasses?

One company pretty much manufactures all sunglasses. I buy sunglasses that look exactly like these on AliExpress. $1 a Pair.

For what it's worth - "Aooko" sells good fakes of Raybans. I think with Aooko, they were somewhere around the mid $20s each. People usually message him on Whatsapp to ask for selection, prices etc. I think he has a page on DHGate too, but it's probably cheaper to go through Whatsapp with him

I accidentally ordered a fake Rayban from Aliexpress (just wanted blue mirrored sunglasses, and fakes came in the mail), and it's mostly indistinguishable, although I'd say they shatter more easily than the "real" ones. I think I paid $13 or so for mine, but the store for it went down shortly around the time my glasses arrived in the mail

This is I guess an OK deal if you don't mind paying so much for the glasses, but I think you can save money elsewhere and get just about the same thing

Oh no by all means, I agree that they spend time and money on styling, (and also spend a lot of money suppressing competition) and they sure do look better, but that's the main problem. There are other glasses that look just as good, but they lack Ray Ban branding, so people buy the one with brand, the same thing when people buy iPhone cases with the round hole so Apple logo can be seen.

As for quality, again, there sure is a difference but not 5 times the difference. I am not suggesting you buy $1 store sunglasses, they are worse on your eyes than not wearing any, but I just bought $14 (outlet) Polarized sunglasses from a well known brand, and they work amazingly well, the vision is clear, and polarization is great. With polarized lenses, they are either polarized or they arent, the worst is when one eye is polarized and other is not at a certain angle, you'll mess up your eyes easily with those.

Umm, yeah but only those who sell them in the stores, not the $1 ali baba pairs. Luxottica makes most glasses, but they won't sell them for $1 at alibaba. Smilie I suggest you don't buy those.

I bought those $15 dockers polarized sunglasses from Kohls recently and they sucked. The styling wasn't bad but the lens was not good. I bought a $40 polarized sunglasses when I was in Japan and it was definitely worth the difference. I think $15 is too low for nicely made glasses, but I guess if you're eyes are good with it, can't complain.

Whatsapp is a messenger app that works free internationally(I believe it's owned by Facebook now), and you can use your own number through it... you just download the app, it sends you a verification code, you enter that in the app on your phone... then you add his number as a contact, and message him

If it sounds risky, either don't bother or ask for his store on taobao or DHGate or something, but it'll be a little pricier likely.

Aooko is just his username I guess. I've ordered 2 or 3 glasses from him total, and they've been good - but these things are fickle so you have to be very careful not to scratch or drop them

Ray-Ban used to be $20 sunglasses brand.
"Luxottica" which owns more than 80% of the world's eye glasses market bought the Ray-Ban, and they jacked up the price more than 5 times.
Now, you are paying 5 times more for the same sunglasses.
