Fallout New Vegas [steampowered.com] and Fallout 3 [steampowered.com] currently $2.50 on Steam

Also has the Ultimate Fallout Bundle [steampowered.com] for $60.46, every Fallout game and DLC included.

yes, immersive environment, open world, a little bit of learning curve but not too bad.
fo3 came out in 2008 i believe, so expect the graphics as such. even then, it's still awesome.
fo3 and fo:nv mechanics are pretty much the same (a couple minor extra features in fo:nv, such as types of bullets), so once you get used to one game, the other will feel natural.
i recommend playing on a larger screen to really feel the immersion. take the time and soak it in. it's great, one of my favorite games to this day.
they both have good dlcs too (i personally didn't like the fo:nv's dead money dlc, but still well-made)

Great deal! At this price get both. Both games can be considered cult classics plus tons of content in each. Loved FO3 and stumbling into giant mutants torturing a fellow human..

YES! loved new vegas. They are basically 1st person shooters, you fight various people, robots and other creatures. The VATS system makes it a little unique.

Want...but does anyone have an opinion on the reviews for New Vegas that state they could download, but not play the game?

Never played either of these (or any Fallout game actually). Should I pick these up?

I'm assuming these are the vanilla games without DLC/GOTY content?

3 was awesome. I never played Vegas.

Worth a few bucks in my opinion, but I don't know much about the price history or DLC
