I've been looking for an 800a version for a while and picked this one up. I think the 800a version has only been cheaper one other time. Thanks!

I have no knowledge which I should buy but now I feel the need when yesterday I had to call insurance to jump start my car after its battery went dead. I had to replace the battery since it was anyways deteriorated.
Mine is a Camry 2012 and it has 600CCA battery (peak 750 I think). Whatever that all means.

No way this does anywhere near 800 amps. Watching vids, none of them go over 300 and most hit around 200 amps. At a minimum look for metal hinged clamps and over ride function for truly dead battery more then the max amp "rating".

Of course 200-300 amps is enough in most cases but that doesn't help if the clamps bust out or the battery is too low to activate the jump pack.

Which one should I get if I am stuck in a situation where in my car just wont start due to a dead battery. Asking because I faced this like a week back. The towing truck guy also got a portable jump starter but I am now not sure which one I should buy.

Might be a little overkill, but it would work just fine.

Search amazon for jump starter and look through every one. When you see one you like filter reviews for negative and for the product you are looking at (lots of times there are several items on one listing).

I personally got a noco gb70 but that is probably overkill unless you go up on mountain trails or camp out in the middle of nowhere. The gb40 is good enough for emergency use and does go on sale occasionally for $70.

There are a couple of these cheaper models that use decent clamps but the connection to the pack is still pretty weak. The harbor freight knock off of the gb40 might be a bit cheaper if you can find it on sale.
