Whey Protein is whey protein, the label won't affect how it works in your body Smilie No whey protein will provide better gains than any other, Zbatch is right, this is fine stuff for any purpose you'd use any other whey for.

Even ON 100% Gold Standard doesn't taste good, so I doubt their knock-off cheap label one will taste good.

Who cares what the cholesterol is? Dietary cholesterol has no impact on blood cholesterol.

Polydextrose is just a man-made fiber supplement. It's far less effective than natural fibers like Psyllium Husks, Oat fiber, etc.. but it's totally normal stuff in a ton of products these days.

The reason there are so many carbs is this is likely a very unfiltered whey protein, so there is still a lot of lactose (milk sugar) left in it. They could also be adding some fillers for flavor/mouthfeel, but from the label that doesn't appear to be the case.

Subtract the fiber count from the carb count and that is the actual carb count in the product, the fiber is all polydextrose which is technically a carb but isn't processed as such.

You could give warnings like this for every ingredient in every food item ever made. If people have food allergies to Carrageenan they'll already be on the lookout. For everyone else it's a non-issue. It's in a TON of products.

But I guess it's good for people to realize that when they always feel overly bloated/gassy they should examine what they're eating carefully and eliminate a single ingredient at a time until they find the culprit.

Give me a freaking break. It is Soy Lecithin. Not soy protein. And it's in a very very minute quantity. This isn't even remotely what the studies were talking about. Soy Lecithin is actually an awesome supplement that many people credit for lowering blood pressure/cholesterol levels dramatically. While I know there isn't hard proof it does it, my grandfather was on deaths door and started supplementing with soy lecithin and 3 other (what turned out to be useless) supplements and his entire life changed and he lived another 20 years until he decided to change his entire diet and stopped soy lecithin, he died a year later. Soy Lecithin isn't making your man boobs grow, don't worry.

You have issues with polydextrose? It's a man made fiber. What's so bad about it?

And splenda? I won't get into an artifician sweetener rant, but if you don't like splenda you basically can't order 98% of protein supplements on the market, it's in them all.

And branding? Seriously? It sounds like you just want to hate on this product. Who cares at all about branding?

Dextrose is nothing close to Polydextrose. One is a pure sugar used for post-workout glycogen recover, the other is a fiber supplement for people who can't stomach nature fibers like Psyllium husks because they're too harsh or too gritty to drink/eat enough of.

Yes, ON makes a very clean protein for their main product. Doesn't mean their side products are equally as clean but the ingredient label shows no other ingredients so I'd probably trust this one. ON makes a lot of crap-tastic products as well though, one of my least favorite brands in the industry due to how poor their non-protein products are.

This site means so well... but its tests are potentially very misleading. It's a shame, they could be so much better.

Agreed, but the amounts needed are much higher than people realize. See my above comments about soy in this product as well.

Of course he hasn't... but it's cheap so he loves it and thus wants to believe the quality is amazing so he can keep getting cheap protein without feeling worried.

Soylent is dramatically overpriced and uses a very poor protein source compared to many of these more fitness oriented products. I'd personally never buy soylent unless it was cheaper/equally priced to products I buy currently. But then I don't need the convenience factor of the RTD's they sell. Their powder is a rip-off and nothing special.

Exactly. Great info for people.

Exactly.

How's the future looking? Smilie

Half a bag of frozen berries, half a can of coconut milk, and a scoop or two of protien powder in the blender is just a really simple, quick, and cheap meal, easy to clean up. I'm not trying to be Arnold or anything.

I've ordered from then several times. When they have sales, they are incredibly good deals. Fast shipping and never had any issue at all. I always spend at least $99 to hit free shipping and stock up. Sometimes the expiration dates are pretty close to coming up, but I honestly don't care about that with protein. It doesn't go bad despite what others say so I'm more than happy to stock up at super cheap prices even if I won't use it all by the times it supposedly expires.

The site is great I have ordered from them before. I took a chance on the protein. From what I read it is made by ON but for the "regular" person, not geared towards the people who lift/workout all the time. Label looked okay, don't think their will be a problem with it.

SupplementHunt is good. Have ordered from them a few times and you gain points for future purchases. Never had Anytime but it's made by ON. Not sure if it's their lower quality protein?

How much protein is in lets say 10g of the powder? I am just trying to see if there is actually a catch to the low price.

Edit: I already read the nutrition facts on their site but the page did not list the weight of 1 serving. I think you need to read from the box itself.
