The Samsung S34E790C is also available on Woot for the same price, but the CF791 is a better monitor IMO,

How is this not on the front page???

Its a $1k monitor that has been at its lowest, $799 on eBay also Refurbished.

I'd be in for 2 if I could, the deal is just too good.

Those are my thoughts as well. I REALLY want an Acer Z35P, but can't justify its price tag. Although this doesn't have GSYNC it will do nicely for 1/2 the price.

Also, the flickering issues w/ Freesync on this display have been resolved with Vega. - FYI

Well if you do not have Vega then the flicker issue is not resolved. Currently Vega is way over MSRP by a couple hundred dollars. Finally the monitor was new for $650 on newegg a couple months ago.

Flickering issues with FreeSync. Google around and you'll see tons of threads on this issue.

Yep, that's the latest word. I was down to get the 56 until we started hearing about AMD's pricing bait and switch. AMD really dropped the ball there. Real pity since this monitor even with this issue is known for being awesome.

Monitor is good but price is just fine. The lowest price for a new one was $650 with 3 years warranty. This refurb is $100 less but with only 90 days warranty...

Same here, really wanted an Acer/Asus comparable monitor but with G-Sync, but can't justify $1k+ when this is available.

Flickering seems to be a driver issue anyways, and I have a 1080Ti so that's a nonissue.

Just bought one.

Yup I've seen that, doesn't look to be only this monitor however. Found 2 other LG Freesync monitors with this, seems to be a driver issue.

Other than freesync flicker is this monitor good? I am buying mostly for productivity. Usually play Civ6 and other games that don't require too much graphics power. Never play FPS games. Its the lowest I have seen for a monitor like this from a reliable reseller, even though warranty is limited due to it being refurbished.

Edit: I actually see the HP Envy 34C available for $459 on ebay. No taxes + FS. Despite the lower refresh rate, I will likely go with that over this for $600.

Thanks for sharing and agree. This is a heck of a deal at 549USD if you're in the market for a 34 curved QHD ultrawide. Yeah, it's refurbished and it does have some flaws with Freesync but fixed with vega and not an issue if Nvidia user. Drivers caused flickering. Google if not familiar. Love the high refresh rate, resolution, matte and the quantum dot tech. Had to nab me one with new Microcenter near me had new ones for 749USD. Look forward to having it up and running Big Grin
