Is this better than the $10/mo deal?

That is entirely dependent on how often you go to the movie theaters as well as the price of tickets at your location. Also the $10 a month deal does not include iMax or 3D movies.

I would say it's not comparing two like items - Atom BOGOs (I've done either 3 or 4) have always allowed me to purchase any level of ticket (Dolby Cinema, IMAX) and get the 2nd one free.

MoviePass ($9.95/month) only allows you to see movies in standard theaters. (And only 2D - but I personally don't care for 3D so that's fine with me.)

There's a Dolby Cinema location 10 minutes from my house (Altamonte Springs, FL)...last I checked there were 48 in the US. I'm still going to shell out extra $$$ for massive power leather recliners and a ~225 speaker auditorium. Atom just sweetens the deal.

I believe their middleman fee is around $0.53/ticket. Considering that they allow you to BOGO $16-20 Dolby Cinema / IMAX tickets, I'd have to say I'm not too worried about "overcharges."

I find Atom better than Fandango. It's far easier to cancel tickets and I never had any problems with overcharges. The only reason I still use Fandango is because they have Cinemark support and Atom does not.

Debating whether or not get this or just wait for my Moviepass card to arrive. I don't need the free ticket since I go to the movies alone but AMC guest services have no problem giving me a free movie voucher or AMC GC credit for it.

BTW if you guys have Chase Freedom, 5% CB this quarter is Restaurants and Movie Theaters and it includes Fandango, probably Atom too..

Yep. Same here. I love Atom more than Fandango. Never have problem with overcharges; on contrary, they're actually very generous --lots of offers, b1g1, etc. Thanks Atom!

Definitely the BEST app to buy premium movies: like 4DX, iMax, dBox, etc.

Yeah, it's called MoviePass. $10 a month to see a movie every day.

Here's the link. [moviepass.com]
