What do you mean? I've never heard of them but these prices feel almost too good to be true, unless I'm missing something.

Sam Ash is essentially Guitar Center. It's a big box store. You shouldn't have any issues, though you'd likely end up with a better stock guitar from a specialty shop.

I received a brand new LPJ from the last deal and had no issues with it. Returning it now but CS was easy peasy. No issues with that either.

I actually purchased a 2015 Heritage Cherry SG Special a little over a week ago, but was late to the party. I called Sam Ash and they located a unit for me in a store and shipped it out. The unit wasn't factory sealed and had obviously been on the floor and played. The case was scuffed up and the guitar had scratches as it appeared that someone had wailed on it. I called my sales rep and he was quick to issue a return label and arrange to replace the guitar with a new one as soon as stock was received. Long story shot, they are refunding the original guitar and I purchased another from new stock which is due to arrive tomorrow (Friday 8/25).

Besides the fact that the guitar is shop worn, it's a beautiful instrument. Receiving the "floor demo" was inconvenient, but Sam Ash has been very accommodating thus far. I knew the original guitar was coming from a store, and the luck of the draw was that I got one that hadn't been treated well. That said, Sam Ash was happy to take it back and committed to getting me a new one. I agreed to buy the new guitar to speed up the process, and take a refund on the original.

The test of a company's reputation is how they handle situations when things go wrong. Sam Ash seems to stand by their wares. It's Dell that I would never buy from again.

These deals are KILLER. Don't hesitate. The guitars are awesome and Sam Ash has acted reputably.

Used units? Really?
I don't think you're being completely above board here.
When you buy a guitar that is coming from a store, rather than warehouse stock, there's a good chance that it's been open and on display in the retail establishment. Customers take guitars off the wall and play them. Most serious guitar players wouldn't even consider buying a guitar they hadn't played; and the vast majority of higher end guitars bought in retail shops are not factory sealed and have probably had fingers other than yours on the fretboard. It's just the way it is. These guitars really can't be considered to be "used". Had you made the purchase in the retail store you probably wouldn't have thought twice about taking it home.

It only becomes an issue when there is real physical damage to the instrument or its finish that can't be corrected with a polishing cloth. Damage in the store doesn't make the instrument "used", but rather just "mistreated". Sam Ash seems to understand this and takes action to make customers happy. What more do you want?

FYI: The 2014 and 2015 LPM models were not offered previously at these prices, or mentioned in prior SD posts.

Have you received full refund already?

I recently purchased a guitar from another store in NY, and had to exchange due to defects. I too did the same thing (placed a new order and sent the defective one back for full refund). However, I was charged 10% restocking fee plus return shipping, as they claimed it was a return, not an exchange.
