Good deal. Mention "PUSH FITTINGS" in title to make more sense.

Lowes now carries Sharkbite so they getting rid of the Blue Hawk brand....a little birdie told me Home Depot is discontinuing Sharkbite, so you may find them on clearance.

The Blue Hawk brand is not nearly as good as Sharkbite...kind of like Black&Decker to Dewalt.

I picked up a few of these a couple weeks ago. I've never had any issues with Blue Hawk but it's worth noting that these do not have a 'nut' on them to use a wrench to tighten the threaded end so you'll be using pliers. Sharkbites do have a nut.

You can use this to make a union as well - 1 female to 1 male. Not the most efficient way to use em, but cheap enough at this price to get out of a jam. Just putting it out there.

Once they're on they work great. The only bad thing about these is they're VERY hard to remove. Every time I've had to remove one I've pretty much destroyed it...Never had that problem with sharkbites.

What's the longevity of these (and sharkbite) fittings? Any chance the internal seal will eventually crack and leak?
