Absolutely! I've been using the MI band 2 for a while now, coming from a jawbone product. (thanks jawbone for abandoning your user base) The official app is needed for firmware updates to the device itself, but the third-party app called notify and fitness is much better in my opinion. You have more customization options available, it can do continuous heart rate monitoring, and the developer is constantly supporting the app with updates. In addition, the developer replies in a timely manner to questions, and as you can see from my post above, customer service is important to me.

Happy to answer specific questions you may have!

Ps... Notify and fitness is one application.

Good price for the fantastic mi band 2, however, I'd wait for a similar deal from light in the box. Matter of opinion and I'm sure some will disagree, but I can't stress the importance of the notify and fitness application!
I'm not sure I'm tracking this statement properly.

Is there an issue with Mi Bands purchased from Gearbest vs LITB?

That's confusing to me because SD posters seem to have a very negative opinion of LITB, and are more positive towards Gearbest.

I purchased a MI Band 2 from Gearbest and it's awesome. As expected, it took a month to receive it from China.

As stated, it's a matter of personal opinion. Based on experience light in the box is a better option. The band itself is great! Customer service also seems better with light in the box, for me at least.

I think I get it now...those were two discrete statements:

1.) You prefer LITB over Gearbest. As you said, a matter of opinion.

2.) The Notify and Fitness for Mi Band app is better than the Official Mi Band app.

Does anyone know why I don't get contact names or phone numbers when I receive a call on my mi band 2?

I love the Mii Band 2 but Gearbest/LitB essentially HAVE NO CS. I got one that didn't work properly and they wouldn't respond to emails and Mii essentially told me "we don't sell to US markets so go back to seller".

You can buy them on eBay new for $16.99. I think the $1 is well spent to have actual recourse should something go wrong and with eBay Bucks its almost the same price anyhow.

Good product, mediocre price, crappy seller.
