Seems to be a good price for a death trap. You realize that these are a suffocation hazard for babies?

Yes, target sells cheapo ones for like $60, so at least my death trap is half off!

Bumpers are a suffocation hazard. What are they even supposed to protect against? A toddler rolling over and slightly nudging the wood slats on the side of the crib? They're even illegal in some states and for good reason.

To prevent baby's limbs from getting caught in the slats and snapping off like a twig.

Agree with previous posters. Don't let your desire to have a "cute" nursery (with matching themed bumpers and quilts) override safety for your baby. They don't serve a purpose other than aesthetics and they have been found to be responsible for infant death. NOT WORTH IT. AAP (American Association of Pediatrics) and many others warn against them.

If you are concerned about baby's limbs (nonsense in my opinion), at least consider a breathable alternative (check out "breathable mesh crib liner" on amazon).

Any baby that has enough strength to break their own limbs off probably has the Olympics in their future.
