Bought the launchkey mini last time it went on sale. I love this thing. So much fun. Wish there was a deal on the launchpad because I want that so bad!

About 2 months ago they had the same sale on the launchkey mini. I bought it for $70. I don't think it gets much lower than this.

Return process is literally the worst I think I've ever dealt with in my life. Just a warning. Might be worth the premium going with Guitar Center, Amazon, etc in the event that you get faulty hardware like I did.

Not my experience with Adorama at all. Got a Tascam recorder from them last year. After a few days, I realized I needed the next model up the ladder. Both were on sale. Although I had to wait for the credit from the return of the original to post to my account when they received it back, everything went incredibly smoothly. They provided a free return shipping label. I got the model I needed. They credited the original purchase, and still got the sale price on the upgrade. I couldn't have been happier with their customer service, both their policies and their people. I didn't even have to get pissy with them.

That said, it was a year ago. Maybe their service has changed, or their return policies have. But, based on my experience with them, I would not hesitate at all to buy from them again, or recommend them. They were the very best customer service I've received from any internet product provider so far. YMMV.

I have had effortless returns on 2 items and was given a huge discount on something that was delivered scuffed but still functional. I wonder what sort of situation you were in to have such a different experience.

I have gotten some repacked guitars from them that needed to go back because they arrived with scuffs. Each time the situation was remedied at no cost to myself.

Bought the launchkey 49. Packaging was heavily damaged, product wouldn't stay connected. Took three weeks for them to send me a return label. Had to send pics, go through three folks in the email return process, etc. Felt like I was dealing with a lemonade stand. I guess it's good that you guys had a good experience but that was my first and last purchase since I won't be ordering from them again.

As a warning: I've had the Launchkey 61 for two years. It has been a nightmare. It won't stay connected to the computer. It's a known issue (google it) and there is no firmware or driver fix. Once the issue starts happening, you have to plug/unplug the USB from your computer sometimes 50 times in a row to get the device to be recognized again. I wouldn't take this thing if it was free. YMMV!

Looking to get a solid 49 key midi keyboard. Would you guys recommend this or are there any other options that are better? My budgets pretty much under 300 and I'm using FL Studio 12 if that helps in any way. Thanks!

I've had a launchkey 49 for a couple of years now and I like it. I'm not a serious musician and it's spent a few long periods just sitting in storage, but I've never had any problems. The keys are unweighted though which some people don't like. The next step up in novation's line is the Impulse which has semi-weighted keys.

One cool thing about the launchkey is it has two rows of 8 of the launchpad keys. It's fun the mess around with those and they feel pretty good. The Impulse has two rows of 4 bigger pads, but I think I prefer the ones on the launchkey.

How does this compare to Akai Pro? I was waiting to see if the Mini MKII would go on sale during Black Friday again this year.

I bought the Roland a49 a few months ago. It's $179. Hands down it's the best MIDI keyboard I've ever used. The touch/feel is amazing and the thing just looks cool. I love it and haven't had one issue with it.
