Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.
  • MADE IN FRANCE. Made of extra thick black steel /carbon steel. Iron handles. Excellent heat conduction –ideal for searing.
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE. Commercial grade durability withstands high temperature allowing for longer preheating and excellent searing capabilities.
  • NATURAL NON-STICK. Before first use, season the pan per manufacture recommendations. The pan will build up a natural nonstick property and darken overtime.

it can be seasoned like a cast iron pan for that non stick finish. plus it is lighter than cast iron

Love carbon steel/cast iron pans. Also check out your local HomeGoods if you want a comparable pan now, $29.99 for 10", $39.99 for 12.5" DeBuyer Mineral B, YMMV as with anything HomeGoods.

One of the benefits about these pans is that you won't be eating any foreign chemical materials compared to the standard non-stick pans (like Teflon), which, cannot take heat compared to well seasoned carbon steel pans.

Everything is hard the first time so don't be frustrated that when you first get it doesn't perform as well as expected. It takes a couple of times - make sure you season it well (tons of YouTube videos on how to do it) and if possible, avoid cooking tomato based dishes on it (the acid tends to remove some of the seasoned parts of the pan).

There is a reason why carbon steel pans are used in professional kitchens and almost all of asian homes (woks).
