Just keep in mind that this thermostat requires a C-wire to work.
if you don't have a C-wire, you may want to look at a different model.

These are awesome thermostats, I bought about 50 of them in a HD return auction for $35/ea and sold them on ebay for $130-150 each about 3 years ago. It was insane the amount of people that I think returned these because they didn't get how they worked, not with home automation being so big they are damn amazing!
Where do you find a HD return auction? I am in for that!

Bought one the last time they were on sale. Took 30 minutes to install. Absolutely love this thing. So nice to be able to turn the heat/AC on or off from anywhere. Looks really good too.

I purchased one of these thermostats and it works perfectly. Besides the "color" screen change capability, the ability to change the temp via "Alexa" is pretty cool.

Yes, I was lucky as mine like a few others had it tucked into the wall. And just had spot on furnace to hook it to also

I think the nest doesn't require the c-wire. Can anyone confirm.

the new Nest, but it depends on your system... sometimes yet, sometimes no. it also runs your system to charge its battery, so there's a chance your system will be running even though the thermostat isn't actually calling for heat/cooling.
