Capital One 360 checking account promotion offer is back - this time it pays $100 bonus.

Requirement:
- Open an account using promo code CRJ100 and receive 2 direct deposits of $250 or more each within 60 days.
- You'll receive the $100 bonus after 90 days of opening the account

There is no expiration date listed so this can disappear at any time. As with all checking account promo offers, remember you will receive a 1099-INT for the bonus money paid to you as it will be reported.

If you want the bonus from Capital one, get it, then close the account. Don't count on Capital one at all.
=============
Just recently, Capital One 360 (banking) and Capital One have refused to allow me to access my online accounts without my giving them permission to run credit checks on me whenever they want.

I've been a Capital One customer for 7-8 years now. I'll cancel my credit card over this. Does anyone know what's going on? for some time, they've been giving me the option of getting a credit increase (which I don't want) every time I logged in, but I was able to circumvent those so-called "requests" - it would log me in & then I'd just click on something else, then round-about get back to the account summary page.

But now, it will not let me get past the page, and you have to agree to them doing credit checks (which I never will agree to). They ask for salary, phone number, email account, and whether you are employed. I'm very careful and would never submit salary over a wireless connection.

I'm really disappointed in Capital One. I now can never trust them to not interrupt my internet access with such nonsense. I've used my Capital One 360 account when travelling internationally - what if I had been out of the country?

I opened 360 account few months ago. One of the good thing is I was able to get money from (certain) ATM in Japan and Canada with no ATM fees. The exchange rate was better than HSBC. I have seen better bonus. I got $400 when I opened my account in May but it required $350 DD.

I haven't received the bonuses for the last promo. It may because it had to be targeted or because I had an ing account previously which is a ridiculous reason.

Well what is so important about your info? People are stupid to think that big banks care too much about their leaving.

$400 is cool. This offer was by invitation or for all ( in may)
