4gb will run 90% of the stuff that's out there.

It seems like this complaint pops up in every hybrid pc deal.
This is not a gaming pc (although it plays more games than not).
This is not a professional programming pc.
This is not a professional media editing pc.

Your comment is like someone complaining about a Toyota Corolla not being able to tow a 5th wheel camper.

This is a highly portable, fully featured pc for the average person... and for that, it does a great job.

Anyone figure out if this stacks with the laptop trade-in promo?

RAM - no
Storage - it has a microSD slot for more storage. I use a 64gb with my SP2, have my Steam games installed on it.

Don't let the haters fool you. Unless you're expecting to run high end games, heavy programming, etc on it (and if you are, then you already know what you need), this is a great portable system.

Can the ram and storage upgraded? Best buy doesn't list this information. Also it's still only a dual core.. Would be ample for day to day tasks if you could upgrade the ram and storage.

For those wondering its 4gb. Barely enough to run anything.

Dual core and forget about opening the unit up. Nice computer but not user upgradable for me.

Similar to iPhone.
I did a quick search as well, the ssd can be upgraded but that's about it. 4 gb ram kills this for me at least.

Sadly it requires the screen to be removed, so definitely not a task for most users.

Very carefully, requires using a heat gun or something similar to melt glue. Better way to expand storage is through microSD slot.
