Was at Home Depot earlier today and saw this deal (Los Angeles - Marina Del Rey store). It's online as well, except the price of the reciprocating saw is $249 while it's $299 online (see picture attached showing it's marked down to $249). I don't know if this additional $50 markdown is nationwide or not, hence the YMMV in the title.

Basically, you have to buy one of 3 different 60V tools (Reciprocating saw, Circular saw, and something else I can't quite remember - sorry I didn't take a pic). These 60V tools come with a 60V 6.0amp battery and charger. Then you get to add another 60V battery or a 20V bare tool for free (up to $150 value). Not all 20v tools, but a few select tools (I chose the jigsaw).

So I ended up with the reciprocating 60V saw, a 60V 6amp battery and charger, and a 20V jigsaw for $249.

I have to go back to Home Depot and will take a picture of the promotion. Here is a link to this combo on their website [homedepot.com], except it's $249 in store, not $299.

Great deal! Also, they have the 20v drill/impact set for 199.00 and you can get just about any 20v bare tool for free.

The customer service rep in San Antonio said the $50 was for a new credit card account. I already have the Home Depot card but I was able to use a 10% off coupon which took off $30 instead of $50.

I don't have a Home Depot credit card nor did I open an account. It was a simple mark down in our store. Maybe it's just regional. Sorry it didn't work in your area!

the $50 markdown was an NLP markdown that ended 8/31 and the endcap for flexvolt was promptly dismantled on 8/31 in MOST stores. stores that still have the flexvolt endcap may have a $249 shelf tag for the sawzall, the grinder, or the circular saw but it should have been pulled bc each product will ring for $299 when scanned as of 9/1
i found a store that left the tag for the circular saw... lady offered to honor the tags $249 price instead of the $299 price but i didnt really want it as i have enough circular saws as is. i only wanted the grinder after $50 off and HF coupon match and menards 11% match... and even then, only after returning the free tool/battery <which altogether would have brought it down to like $100 or so for just the kit>
